Family portrait session (Kristie, Tom, N, L, A, and M) – Winchester, MA

What a crew! Silly faces, sweet hugs, and upside-down monkeys. Oh, and amazingly blue, blue eyes. All of them! It was so great to see these kiddos again this year – they braved the wind and the cold along with their parents and managed to have some fun in the process.

Kristie and Tom, I’m glad we could squeeze in a session for you! Thanks for sharing your fun family with me!

Family portrait session (Jackie, Jeff, C, and I) – Winchester, MA

‘Tis the season for coughs and colds, fevers and flu! Jackie had emailed me earlier in the week with concerns that the session might not happen; C was sick and he’d been home from school a couple of days (why do fevers seem to last SO long?), but he rallied by the weekend and both he and his little sister seemed in good spirits despite the chilly day. So many hugs (in part to help them stay warm!) and smiles and squeezes in this sweet family!

I love meeting new folks in town! Thanks so much for a fun session, Jackie and Jeff.

Family portrait session (Linda, Mike, L, and C) – Lincoln, MA

“What would you like to order today?”

“Yes, I’ll take one beautiful sun-lit field, with temps just chilly enough to warrant a vest, hair just wind-blown enough to say, ‘I got this,’ and kids who know how to have fun. Please. And thank you.”

That’s what this session felt like for this fab foursome. These stunning girls seemed like they had the run of the place, sharing their sister hugs, jumping from the rocks, and exploring the park. It’s been years since I had the privilege of setting my lens on them (little C was just born!), so it was such an honor to spend some time with them now with their full-blown smiles and personalities in tow.

Linda and Mike, thanks so much for a fun afternoon!

Family portrait session (Diana, Josh, D, and M) – Newton, MA

When they were newborns, the cycle of feeding, sleeping, eating, changing, soothing (rinse + repeat) made for long days and short sleep. Two years later, the twins are running everywhere and making for days that require slightly different energy, but still probably the same amount of coffee. The boys are equally curious about the world around them though they approach it very differently. One seems to be completely fearless and bounces up even when he does a face plant; the other uses all sorts of caution and seems to want to be certain of his next step before he takes it.

Diana and Josh, it was so special for me to see you all again! I can’t believe these two are the same two little bundles from years ago. Thank you for the opportunity!

Family portrait session (Martha, Paul, E, and C) – Winchester, MA

Ohhh, it’s COLD outside! It’s like someone flipped a switch and all of a sudden, that mild weather we had all October is off on vacation. These little cherubs braved the cold and wind like champs, pink cheeks and runny noses and all. We met at their grandparents’ house that abuts the golf course and strolled around, carefully avoiding the velvet-like green that always blows my mind. We caught their grandfather making a cameo appearance across the way and the kids thought it was hysterical that I snapped a quick pic of him walking their dog. It’s the little things, right?

Martha and Paul, thank you so much for spending your morning with me. Martha, I hope you got a second cup of coffee afterward – it sounded like you had a long day ahead of you!
