Family portrait session (Holly, Dave, C, and P) – Beverly, MA

The absolute joy that exudes from her smile, the look of love that comes from him when glancing at his mom, the snuggles they give their grandmother, the excitement when running to their dad – there is so much love in this family my cheeks were tired of smiling when our session was over (well, except for the few minutes when we circled around C after his fall when that pesky tree root tripped him up). P likes to feel mom’s face; C likes to squeeze his dad with his strong muscles. They all liked to explore and have fun!

Holly and Dave, I simply cannot believe how big these kiddos have gotten – I still remember when C was just a little one – and so cute! Thank you so much for sharing your joy and love with me!

Family portrait session (Suzanne, Mike, M, and B) – Newton, MA

Photographing this crew makes me feel like I can say, “I knew them when…” because they were SO little when I first met them (<— that blog post is actually from 2013; I first met them in 2012 and I didn’t even have a website yet! Check out the last pic below that I dug up from the archives to see how little they were in 2012!). Diapers and onesies have been replaced by necklaces and soccer balls. Weekends spent trying to make sure they get a nap in are now spent trying to make sure everyone is where they need to be for their games and practices. Some things haven’t changed, though: they still like to hang upside down (not sure if we’ll be able to do this one next year, little miss!), they still have some of the most genuine smiles around, and the only thing that’s grown more than the kids is the amount of fun and love that exists in their little pod.

Suzanne and Mike, words cannot do justice to how privileged I feel to have been able to capture your family through my lens for the past eight years (minus that year – or two? – you were abroad). Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Family portrait session (Amy, Gerard, A, and M) – Reading, MA

While it’s always fun and humbling for me to photograph any family, it carries even more meaning when I get to photograph a dear friend with her babies – I know some of the ins-and-outs of what it takes every day for this sweet mama to help keep everyone in her family going strong. The drop-offs, the pick-ups, the appointments, play dates, volunteering, cooking, scheduling, hugging, comforting, food-shopping (sometimes she evens picks up some food for me!), homeworking (yes, I just made up that word), and it’s all done with a deep, deep love. It’s a delicate dance that I admire and look up to.

These two girls could not have seemed happier hanging out with their scooters, the leaves, their mom, their dad, and each other. Thank you, Amy and Gerard, for the pleasure of having you all in front of my lens. I continue to be honored by your friendship and your trust in me to capture your beautiful family!

Family portrait session (Katja, Brad, and Z) – Brookline, MA

She came with purse and princess (mermaid?) in hand, glitter shoes on her feet, and the cutest smile on her face. She ran back and forth, and back and forth, trying to tackle (and once succeeding) her adoring parents. She peeped through some leaves, and then threw them at said parents. Her curious nature is endless and she has the energy to match it, happy to go anywhere her spirit takes her: up and down the hill, over this way and that way, and *almost* always towards the open arms of her mom or dad.

Sven and Anna (check out their fun plan for Halloween in a pic below)… I mean, Brad and Katja, it was so great to see you all again!

Family portrait session (Crystal, Greg, E, and T) – Wakefield, MA

Look at these smiles! Holy smokes. This session is just cuteness overload. But what I know about these two kiddos outside of a photo session is what really makes them shine – they are some of the nicest kids around. On top of that, she is a soccer super star and he has a smile that is so genuine, you can’t help but smile back. We had such fun walking around together and then we had a chance for their dog to join in – and check out the sweet ramp he has to get himself out of the car!

Crystal and Greg, thanks so much for the chance to photograph your awesome kiddos. Their smiles are so infectious!
