The coast of Maine is beautiful, especially if you have a house that sits upon some cliffs overlooking the ocean. This scene was made even more beautiful by the gathering of family. This house belonged to Katie’s grandparents and it has remained in the family through the years. It is a house that is warm and welcoming and, as Katie’s parents reported, has served as home to a Labor Day homemade pie contest for years. On this day, Katie and Jon were there with their daughter and both sets of grandparents, playing some bocce, checking out the seals that come into the harbor, and enjoying some cold treats and tasty beverages.
Sweet C was a good explorer, looking for sea glass and rock treasures. She also tried her hand at bocce, did some mega-jumps from the deck (with the best expressions in the world), and cooled down with a refreshing popsicle (which she rested directly on the deck when she needed a break).
