Family portrait session (Laura, Mike, O, & O) – Danvers, MA

What’s the fastest way to warm up when you’re outside in the blustery wind and cold? Running, of course! And run he did. Four-year-old O ran and ran. I was about to start calling him Forrest Gump but then he wanted to check out a hollowed-out log so the running subsided, temporarily. The littlest O seemed a bit tired from her 2-year-old birthday party the day before but despite her fatigue, she looked as cute as ever making these little expressions that melted my heart. Mike and Laura, thanks so much for bearing the cold and exploring your great neighborhood park with me.

The history with this lovely family: Laura and her brother, Ryan, are friends of mine from the way back machine who also happen to be family friends with my in-laws. I normally see them at weddings of friends we have in common so it was wonderful to finally meet their kiddos and not feel obligated to dance the Macarena. (Just kidding, of course, I haven’t heard the Macarena in ages. You?)
