Twenty tiny toes – Medford, MA

Poor little X had, by all reports, just started to experience the stranger anxiety in the previous couple of weeks. Case in point, I walked in and upon seeing me, he burst into tears – genuine tears. His tears then set off his twin brother and there we were, tears in stereo. And so it goes for twins, and for their parents. But the little guys regrouped and rocked the rest of our time together. They were simply adorable no matter what they did, fedoras on or off, nibbling on their own toes or each others hands, or just hanging out in their cribs. Marie and Garron, you two were so great. I wish you all the best through the bottle-covered-counter-days and the I-can’t-believe-we’re-going-through-this-many-diapers-stage. Thanks for sharing your totally cute duo; they made me miss my twin nephews even more (living in England)!

Premonition of a 3-year-old – Newton, MA

Before they were even pregnant, this darling 3-year-old told her mom that she wanted twins for siblings. A pretty tall order by most counts. But little C must have had some kind of direct line to the future because that is exactly what she is getting: twin sisters. Tara and Joe are busy preparing for the arrival of the two new babies while C is getting super excited about becoming a big sister (and enjoying some undivided attention from her parents!). Big-sister-to-be showed me around the adorable room for the twins. We also took advantage of the pretty snow falling outside. Tara and Joe, congratulations on your new babies-to-be! And to darling C, I hope you remember that despite being outnumbered by newborns in a couple of months, it’s clear your mom and dad adore you! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
