Enter stage left: The Village – Winchester, MA

You know the village, right? I hope you do. They are the people who come out to help when there’s something going on that takes you or your spouse away as a go-to for parenting for a longer than your average 9-10 hour work day. It could be a work thing, it could be a medical thing, it could be a trip of some sort that leaves one of you a bit in the red for hands-on childcare.

In addition to my in-laws and sisters, our dear friends, Megan and Brad, are a part of our village. They hosted my husband and kiddos for dinner one night when I was out of town, complete with a make-your-own-teddy-bear-in-a-tub-of-marshmellows dessert that I heard about for weeks. Recently, Megan, a full-time mom who also does some work for a local farm, had some commitments that had her pulled away for almost two entire days. Enter…the village! Her mom and sister flew in from New York to help take care of sweet little B. Making the most of this joint visit, they scheduled a photo shoot that included said village. Lucky little B got to spend some quality time with her Grammy and auntie and seemed to love being able to reach up her tiny arms to so many loving people.

Thanks again to all of you for a fun little morning in your backyard. I love your little one to pieces!
