Quick, let’s get a family portrait! – Waltham, MA

Have you ever uttered those words? Ever look around at a family gathering and realize, wait, we’re actually all here in the same spot? Thus is the case for Julie and Patrick’s family where a couple of the kids are not so close by most of the year. Julie contacted me last minute to get a family portrait while they were all local. Luckily, our schedules jived and the weather cooperated. We kept it simple with a few family portraits, a quick walk down a little path, and a Patriots hat for good measure.

Julie and Patrick, thank you for the opportunity to meet your lovely family! I hope your Pats fan enjoyed today’s win.

Cold and cozy – Southborough, MA

Yes, little O and N were both cold and cozy during our early morning session for their Christmas photos. These two little troopers braved a frigid morning for a bit out on location and were then rewarded with warm PJs and a Santa book at home. Their crafty mom, Christen, made these awesome banners for them to hold – such a cute idea!

Feeling moved by the spirit of the season, I’m going to profess it out loud: I just love this family; I’ve gotten to know them well over the past couple of years and always look forward to our sessions – cold or hot, rainy or snowy. Christen and Steve, I want to thank you publicly for allowing me into your lives session after session, for trusting me to capture your two adorable kids through some of their milestones, for the offers of coffee on an early morning, for the cards you create from our sessions, for the referrals to friends, and for the hugs when we meet and say goodbye. You guys rock – as parents, as friends, and as clients.

I sure hope Santa is good to all of you! To view the complete gallery, including a pic of Christen and Steve taken by N, click here (password protected; please contact the family or me if interested).

The wonder of the world – Southborough, MA

There wasn’t a plane, bird, branch, or gust of wind that went unnoticed by sweet little H. He just wanted to take it all in, observe every little moving thing, and sometimes not moving things (i.e. rocks). And who could blame him? It was a beautiful day (albeit a bit chilly), and he was hanging out with his two fun-loving parents, Rebecca and Owen, at a picturesque farm. He seemed to *love* making his parents giggle as much as they loved seeing him smile. It was so much fun to watch him explore the world with his fresh eyes.

Rebecca and Owen, thanks so much for letting me capture his sense of wonder and curiosity. To view the complete gallery, click here (password protected; please contact either the family or me if interested).

Big man on campus – Watertown, MA

Little W walked around as if he owned the place, charming a couple of passers-by (thank you security for turning on the lights!) and seemed to know exactly where he wanted to go. This campus holds both a special meaning for Meg as well as for Meg and Erin as a couple. It was the perfect, almost snowy, backdrop for their first family shoot. Not *quite* yet a year old, his little personality is bigger than he is – a bold smile, a curiosity about everything, and doesn’t hold back when he’s made up his mind about what he wants to do. Sweet W, you were a joy to watch as you explored the quiet halls, examined the Christmas tree, and romped around in the snow-dusted grass. Cheers to you, *little* BMOC.

Meg and Erin, what a happy little boy you have. Thank you for letting me get a peek into a slice of your lives. Congrats on making it through the first year, and best of luck with the sleep!

Have yourself a merry little smile – Watertown, MA

Oh, sweet little T, you have only been in this world for less than a year and you already know how to turn on the charm! She seemed to own her corner of the living room, playing with each toy for just a few moments as if to show me how each worked. And she shined even more outside, flashing big smiles for her parents, Christina and Matt. She was a trooper as it was a bit windy outside, but quickly found that she could warm up with mommy and daddy inside. What a little snuggle-bug!

I had such fun, Christina and Matt! I enjoyed meeting you both and your adorable little one! To view the complete gallery, click here (password protected, please contact either the family or me if interested).
