Family portrait session (Tara, Joe, C, R, + A) – Concord, MA

Three girls = so much sister love. Sister snuggles, sister hugs, sister running, and sister giggles. These girls have seemed to thrive despite all of the challenging circumstances of the year. Kudos to Tara and Joe for keeping their smiles strong and their spirits bright. Such a joy to see you all again!

Family portrait session (Amy, Aaron, C + J) – Rye, NH

Sometimes, glimmers of personality flash so fast but so strong, it’s undeniable. When she was younger, she insisted on building a sand castle as the tide was rolling in around her; sure she could find a way to make it stand. Now, almost 4 years later, she showed that same determination when faced with a massive boulder that she was convinced she could scale, running full speed straight at its face. And her little brother, who was still taking naps last I saw him, is showing similar tenacity in spirit and curious nature, skipping over the rocks on the pier with ease and fearlessness.

What a joy to be able to see you all again, Amy and Aaron! Your smiles in the midst of the wild year we’ve had bring me a slice of peace.

Family portrait session (Lauren, Mike, T, + A) – Laconia, NH

Welp, it’s been a strange summer, indeed. But that didn’t stop this family from finding the joy every time they visited the grandparents in NH. Frog catching and boat rides abound with this crew. So much fun, Lauren and Mike! What a beautiful family – loved every minute! Thank you, thank you.

Family portrait session (Tara, Joe, C, R, and A) – Winchester, MA

With the cold weather clearly staking its territory, we made fairly quick work of this session and kept the girls moving around the farm. The twins, who were once each less than 6 pounds, are now bubbling 4-year-olds, keeping their parents on the go most of the time. And big sister, who is seemingly too mature for my silly jokes anymore, maintains her curiosity about the world while trying to keep her sisters in line, too.

Tara and Joe, it sounds like you’ve had – and will continue to have – some busy weeks ahead of you, but I’m so glad that we were able to make this session work! I can’t believe it’s been five years since our first shoot (check out the throwback at the bottom of this post) when C was on the verge of becoming a big sister.

Family portrait session (Christen, Steve, L, and N) – Lincoln, MA

When she sent the text confirming that we were on for Sunday, I literally laughed out loud at her hashtag, #stephaniegoryldiehard. After needing an earlier weather reschedule, we squeezed in this session hours before the massive snowstorm moved into the area. And they were troopers, allowing their layers to keep them warm while walking and running around the park.

Christen and Steve, it’s always so lovely seeing you all. I can’t thank you enough for all of the loyalty over the past NINE (!) years. For kicks, check out the throwback photo at the end of this post from 2011. Holy smokes.
