Family portrait session (Jennifer, Matt, S, N, & A) – Reading, MA

With twin sisters, big brother knew exactly where to stand for a sibling photo without any direction – directly square in the middle. He seemed quite comfortable there, more so than most older brothers may be, balancing the differences in personalities between the two girls delicately with charm and humor. There’s one who doesn’t really care for kisses, and one who is openly more affectionate – both are undeniably sweet and kind. And while I’m sure all three kids all hear about how much they look like “mini-me’s” of their parents (it really is incredible!), they are clearly each their own person, carefully carving out their own space in this world at a faster pace than their parents want while Jennifer and Matt guide them gracefully along the way.

What a pleasure to be able to photograph you all again! The kids may have changed a bit since our last photo session and have grown exponentially since the first session, but you two seem to not have aged at all!

Family portrait session (Megan, Dave, & J) – Winthrop, MA

At just two-months old, he is holding court, keeping them on their toes, and, more than anything, he is making their eyes smile. You know that kind of smile, right? It’s the kind that you can feel all the way in your heart that actually warms you from the inside out. Megan and Dave have taken on their new roles as parents with humor and an easy-going nature that will make the journey all that much more fun (be sure to keep the humor alive even when you are tired!). Their love for baby J is evident when they gaze at him, and their love for each other is apparent in their laughter.

Congratulations on your new bundle, Megan and Dave. Little J is adorable! Thank you so much for sharing your precious little one with me.

Family portrait session (Meghan, Dan, & E) – Winchester, MA

With baby #2 on the way, little miss has just a little more time to revel in the spotlight but what she will gain in friendship and love will be so worth it. For now, though, she seems to enjoy taking the lead on what direction to run, how fast, and how far. Up the hill, and further up the hill she ran, until she got to the too-steep part and couldn’t find a way to comfortably come back down by herself. Mom to the rescue! After that, she had a little birthday cake to mark the big #2. Peppa Pig is where it’s at, complete with Peppa Pig dress, boots, cake decoration, and tail. And her own Peppa Pig, of course, to keep her company.

Meghan and Dan, I can’t wait to meet little baby boy in just a few months!

Family portrait session (Diana, Seth, & H) – Wellesley, MA

Sticks, swings, bubbles, and kisses for this kiddo who is keeping his loving parents on their toes! At a little over a year old, he’s found his walking legs and seems to really enjoy picking up all sorts of treasures, from sticks to acorns (but only particular acorns), and couldn’t quite make up his mind if he wanted to ride in the wagon, walk on his own, or be carried by one of his parents. What a fun little walk in the park with this trio!

Diana and Seth, congrats on making it through the first year. So much change, so little sleep, but oh-so-much love!

Family portrait session (Kerri, Bob, A, L, & J) – Rockport, MA

It was like going back in time, except the kids were older, bigger, and much wiser this time around, but just as fun as it was the first time I photographed them on the beach about four years ago. While the temps during our session were probably about 20 degrees cooler than most of the other countless summer days they have spent on this beach, they still managed to have fun in the waves and get soaked to the bone, which promptly left them cold and ready for their sweatshirts. The cost of good fun!

Kerri and Bob, thanks so much for sharing your lovely beach with me! Time is an especially funny thing when it comes to kids – I cannot believe how old and beautiful they all are. What a privilege to get to see them grow and change over the years!
