Family portrait session (Suzanna, Nick, J, & J) – Gloucester, MA

When I first met older brother J a few years ago, he was not so sure about me or my cameras. Really, he didn’t want anything to do with me (though we managed to get some cute ones of him regardless). Now, we’re buddies. Now, he will jump over on demand with all his might to show me how high he can get. Now, he holds his little brother’s hand (who’s also not quite sure about my cameras) and quietly assures him that I don’t bite. Little J, on the other hand, appears *as if* he’s going to bite (or lick?) big brother J, but apparently, he just has to work on his smooches a bit.

Suzanna and Nick, what a fun evening on the beach! Nick, I’m guessing you’re still finding sand from little J’s shovel action. Thanks so much to both of you for sharing your little loves.

Family portrait session (Tracy, Dean, A, D, & L) – Gloucester, MA

Three cutie-pie kids, two sweet-as-can-be parents, and a bulldog named Cupcake arrive at the beach early one morning. Wait, is it really the beach? I followed the same roads I always follow to get to said beach but, man, all I can see is the FOG! Holy fog. We literally had to be feet away from the water to actually see it. So it wasn’t the beach landscape that we were expecting, but still, the fog made for a neat backdrop for one of my all-time favorite crews. One of the best parts of my work is that I get to see kids grow and change over time – I’ve photographed all of these little ones when they were newborns and now they are all off and running, climbing, and digging tunnels in the sand. It’s awesome in the most genuine sense of the word.

Tracy and Dean, so great seeing you guys and your smiling faces through the fog. I love your little loves.

Family portrait session (Lynne, Greg, C, S, A, & B) – Winchester, MA

We had a hazy start, but the smiles from this crew cleared the gray and dreariness of the morning. It was great to hang out with them on this farm where they have spent a lot of time over the years in varying activities. They were silly and playful as we walked around and captured the unique personalities of each one of them. Lynne and Greg, what beautiful children you have! It was such a joy to photograph you all. Thank you for sharing your morning with me.

Newborn session (Dan, Meghan, & E) – Stoneham, MA

She was asleep when I arrived. She was asleep on the bed. She stayed asleep in the basket. And in the crib. And outside. And she even seemed to want to go back to sleep after dad changed her. Little E certainly seemed to be a great sleeper, but apparently, that just happens during the daytime. At night, according to her lovely parents, she has other plans. But, isn’t she as cute as can be?

Dan and Meghan, congratulations on your darling little love. I hope that she starts to be a little less nocturnal for you quickly! I loved meeting you both (and realizing our small world connection) and capturing all of the sweetness of little E.

Family portrait session (Catherine, Vake, N, & R) – North Reading, MA

These two handsome brothers have some awesome smiles and even better laughs. They got a chance to show off their brotherly love, their throwing abilities (seriously, they can throw really far), and their affection for their sweet dog. They seemed to enjoy walking around the park and then climbing/hanging around in the playground for a bit. And their parents seemed to enjoy trying to make them laugh (I so wish I had a camera facing behind me sometimes)!

I was so excited to hear that you won the portrait session auction at the Blossoms for Beebe event, Catherine and Vake! It was so lovely to photograph you all.
