Newborn session (Kathleen, Mike, B, M, & baby T) – Stoneham, MA

By the time baby #3 rolls around, most parents are well versed in getting a baby to sleep, good at figuring out how to keep the older ones entertained, and have developed the ability to function on less sleep than before. This was true for Kathleen and Mike as they welcomed baby T just 8 days before this session. He barely made a peep the whole time I was there and already seemed accustomed to his older siblings’ squirminess as they held him. Big brother B seemed proud to take on a new role while big sister M seemed more curious than anything about this new member of their family.

Congratulations again, Kathleen and Mike, on your new baby boy! Wishing you moments of awe, anticipation of first smiles, and good naps for all.

1-year-old session (Ashley, Stefan, & W) – Wakefield, MA

When I first met this little bug he was mere days old. They were living in a lovely home under renovation and were completely in awe of the little hands, feet, and a set of big blue eyes in front of them. Fast forward a year and they have settled into a new lovely home (without construction), they have child-proofed their stairs and cabinets, and have a walking toddler on their hands. His newest trick is crawling in the space under the coffee table. The sleepy snuggles have turned to story time, baby swings have turned to swing sets, and yet those big blue eyes remain the same.

Ashley and Stefan, what a fun year it has been getting to know you all. Wishing you all the best as your adorable toddler explores his world even more.

Family portrait session (Francesca, James, & baby A) – Allston, MA

Sweet baby A was sound asleep in his crib, even as the family dog, Tess, tried to nuzzle her way in and whimper in a way that suggested she just wanted to be closer to her baby brother. James and Francesca, just a couple of weeks into this parenting thing, looked on with deep admiration for this new little being who has stolen their hearts (and their sleep). Baby A did all the things that newborns do: snuggle, eat, and high-fived his dad. Well, more like a knuckle-five, but he’ll get there. Tess seemed a little unimpressed with the knit doggie hat that they had for A, but took advantage of the close proximity and got in a few wet kisses.

Francesca and James, congratulations again on your new little bundle! Wishing you moments of pure joy and amazement as well as moments of quiet and time for naps. Thank you so much for sharing your morning with me.
