Family portrait session (Suzanna, Nick, and J) – Gloucester, MA

Oh, sweet J! You can just see the curiosity in his eyes as he explores, running from place to place. Trains on the beach? Heck yeah! Seems like a perfect place to make tracks and pretend the train is off on some wonderful adventure. Going as deep as you can in a tide pool (even if it’s a bit deeper than anyone anticipated)? Sign us up! Running and chasing with Daddy and Mommy? Absolutely. Getting a snuggle and sharing a giggle while the sun is setting? The best.

Suzanna and Nick, thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph your sweet family again. It was so wonderful to see you all; I hope you had as much fun on the beach as I did!

Family portrait session (Robin, John, A, K, & S) – Winchester, MA

They introduced themselves politely, one at a time, stating their name and age. Their father then jokingly followed suit. There was a discussion about footwear, sisters offering to trade shoes between them. And then there was their excitable new puppy, Bandit. Their lovely mom, Robin, seemed to enjoy seeing all of her girls giggle and play. They ran through the woods like they had been there hundreds of times before – confident, sure-footed, and yet full of curiosity. And they are true dog lovers: they stopped every single dog that crossed our path and asked all about them!

On my ride home, I couldn’t help but reminisce in my mind about the days when my three sisters and I would share similar giggles (and shoes, for that matter). Robin and John, what a wonderful trio of girls you have! Thank you so much for sharing your morning.

Extended family portraits with the D family – York, ME

I love when I get the chance to meet awesome clients and then I get to meet their awesome family – the parents that raised them, the sister that grew up with them, and the new baby cousins that get to grow up together alongside the big brother/cousin. I first met Sarah and Mike back in February when they were expecting their first baby. Then I got to meet sweet W in April when he was just born. They thought it would be neat to get their extended families together for some portraits as there have been two recent additions. This is the first of two extended family sessions. We met at the beach and the park adjacent to the spot where Sarah and Mike got married and then moved along to Sarah and her sister’s childhood home. I had a good chuckle because this old house had such low ceilings that Mike, a very tall man, was unable to stand up straight in some of the rooms. Thanks to you all for making this a fun morning. Mike, I can’t wait to meet your side of the family!

Senior session with Grace – Rockport, MA

What a treat to meet lovely Grace. She is a stunningly beautiful girl with a bright future ahead of her. We met at the beach in Rockport where she spends the summer with her family. There were so many great little spots to explore and it was easy to imagine how much fun it would be to spend summers there each year. Grace, thank you so much for the opportunity to meet you and hear all about what the year ahead has in store for you! And to your parents, congratulations on a job well done.

Solo beach session with W – Gloucester, MA

Oh my goodness! This 4-year-old rocked the beach with such enthusiasm and energy. He played with the sand. He ran through the tide pools. He climbed on the rocks. He went so deep in the water I thought we might have to go in after him! I love this red-headed, sweet-smiling boy. Tracey, thanks so much for the opportunity to meet both you and your awesome son. Looking forward to getting you and your husband in there next time!
