Newborn session with baby F – Chelsea, MA

Hayley opened the door when I arrived and I thought for a minute that maybe she was the nanny. She looked too amazing to have just given birth 16 days prior. She was put-together, awake, beautiful, and totally chill. But in fact, she was the mom to sweet F, a boy who is totally cute and delicious. Oh, and he has the most awesome nursery I have seen to date. A map of the world covers one entire wall. And hanging down from the ceiling is a bright yellow plane that looks like it’s been on some amazing adventures. Dan, the daddy, seemed smitten with the new little one. Baby F, you are lucky indeed. Thanks, Hayley and Dan, for the opportunity to meet your little bundle. Wishing you all loads of snuggle-time, a decent amount of sleep, and moments to take it all in. Time goes. Oh. So. Fast. (I say this while the “Kindergarten School Supplies” list sits next to me on my desk.)

Family portrait session (Andrea, Charlie, R, & N) – Winchester, MA

This littlest darling turned one the day of our shoot. Her big, gorgeous eyes seemed curious about my presence, but she slowly warmed up, especially after we went outside. Big sister, R, seemed to go along with the flow, offering for me to take a photo of her baby doll and sitting her up just so. For the birthday party that was to be held later on that day, there was a homemade lemonade stand fit for a successful entrepreneur. While big sister lined up the lemons on the counter, little sister sampled some of them by trying to bite into one. I was secretly hoping that she would actually chomp into one so that I could capture her reaction but that didn’t quite happen. Regardless, it was fun to watch these two interact with each other and their lovely parents. Andrea and Charlie, thanks so much for the opportunity to spend some time with you all that morning. Happy birthday to sweet N!

Family portrait session ~ Maggie, Joel, A, & O ~ Waltham, MA

The last time I saw this clan was a year ago when little A had just been born. Now that newborn is walking and exploring every thing she sees with such curiosity. And I’ve never quite seen anyone so happy to just clap her hands together! Big sister, O, clearly adores having a little one to help along the way. She got to show off her jumping skills and seemed perfectly at home while perusing the produce at the farm stand. These four were troopers. This was one of the hottest and most humid days of the year. Maggie and Joel, thanks as always for the sneak peek into your lives; your girls are delicious. I so enjoy our sessions together!

A portrait session with my favorite nieces – Gloucester, MA

You got me. I only have two nieces. They each have wonderful budding personalities. Natalie, my godchild and youngest niece, was having a blast exploring the water and the waves when she fell face forward in the water, dress and all. She came up no worse for the wear; she had the exact same look on her face when she stood up as when she fell in. So cute. And Charlotte, the bigger sister, seemed a little less sure about the waves but let her energy shine for the sheer beauty of the beach. Oh, I had so much fun! Last time we were on this beach together for a portrait session, Charlotte was just two years old. My how the time flies! Rainelle and Doug, I truly enjoyed the time I got to spend with you and your two little loves. They light up my heart.
