Despite being an aunt to twin nephews (who I saw every week when they were babies), seeing newborn twins will always amaze me: not just one little head to support, not just two tiny hands to hold, and not just ten teeny toes to tickle – TWO little heads, FOUR tiny hands, and TWENTY teeny toes! And somehow, our hearts find the space for twice as much love. It’s unreal. This lovely family seems to be taking it all in – the big sister, C, is affectionate with them while ensuring that her independence remains noteworthy, and the mom and dad are somehow awake and coherent.
