“I don’t want to fall asleep…” You know it, right? It’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. The refrain of that song was stuck in my head for most of this session as sweet Baby S did not even come close to being sleepy for 95% of the session! She was so alert, a happy kind of alert. She just wanted to watch every little thing that was going on in the room (even though I’m sure her vision at 10 days old probably didn’t get her very far): her older sister running around playing a bit here and there with her dad chasing after her sister. Big Sister A seemed to be adjusting to the new tiny life in the home, wearing her “Big Sister” shirt proudly. Hillary and Joe, the already seasoned parents, were chill and laid back, remarking at how their life had changed with the new addition. And grandmother in the background, proudly talking about how much joy these girls bring to her life. So much love and activity surrounding this small little bundle. Who would want to fall asleep amidst all of this?
Hillary and Joe, congratulations again on a beautiful baby girl! It was so nice meeting you all – extended family included – and wish you lots of snuggles and giggles with your sweet girls.
