Sweet sisters – Wakefield, MA

My daughter, Annabeth, loves arts and crafts. She will spend at least an hour each day working on something art-related. And she loves to give her pieces of art away to anyone willing to accept them, carefully writing their names so as to not forget what is for whom. Two such sweet souls are girls on our street, big sister A and little sister A. As a matter of fact, I’m sure that we have a backlog of art for them as production is faster than distribution of said pieces. In any case, I was thrilled that their parents contacted me for a family session. Look at these two gorgeous girls – if you know them, you know that they are as kind and sweet on the inside as they are beautiful on the outside. And it’s easy to see where they get both. Linnea and Paul, you guys rocked the “silly dance” task.

You are a beautiful family; I truly enjoyed our session, Linnea and Paul. To view the complete gallery, click here (password protected; please contact either the family or me if interested).

Baby H makes his debut – Reading, MA

I love getting to know my clients as their family grows. I love being able to give them a hug and congratulate them on welcoming another child into their family. Such is the case with Michelle and Jesse, Big Sister S and new baby brother H. Big Sister S was not even a year old when I first met them and now she’s squeezing and kissing her brother, seemingly taking to her new role rather well. I did have to chuckle at her choice of books, “Teeth are not for biting.” A good lesson indeed! Such a lovely home, a kind and easy-going family – two lucky little ones. And talk about your irresistible cheeks!

Michelle and Jesse, congrats on another beautiful baby! Thank you for inviting me to catch you all mid-newborn love/chaos. You are all a joy to be around. Big hugs.

Lovin’ the leaves – Wakefield, MA

Little miss L could not wait to get outside. She was all set to go when I arrived early in the morning; her parents were trying to finish their coffee (whatever would we parents do without coffee?). We had a beautiful and chilly morning for our backyard shoot and the leaves were plentiful, perfectly crisp, and vivid. Little L, a fairly new member of the walking world, seemed to enjoy trudging through them and also showed off her mad crawling skills at warp speed. Her parents, Linda and Mike, seemed happy just to witness her exploring her little world and were totally cool with the collateral damage (i.e. dirt) that comes along with playing with said leaves.

Linda and Mike, it was so nice meeting your little sweetie! Thanks for having me along to bottle up some of these moments for you.

Two armfuls of sweetness – Boston Public Garden

I love my job. I mean, seriously, who wouldn’t love to hang out with these two cutie pies? I met this lovely family about a year ago when baby C was first born; right then I could tell that big sister M was already loving her new role. For this session, miss M made sure little C didn’t go too far without her and little C seemed to accept her hugs and smooches without (much) hesitation. They are two tiny peas in a pod and I can already see them quibbling about stealing each others’ clothes and conspiring against their parents to get out of doing chores. But for now, they seemed happy to just walk around, strike some poses, and be as cute as can be. Little C was a bit on the serious side; big sister M had a flare all things silly. All in all, these two are quite the pair, keeping their mommy and daddy on the move and quick on their feet.

Kyla and Jason, your girls are awesome – I just loved seeing them again and witnessing their growing relationship. Thank you for the opportunity to hold this time still for you two for just a bit. Don’t want to close my eyes – Westwood, MA

“I don’t want to fall asleep…” You know it, right? It’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. The refrain of that song was stuck in my head for most of this session as sweet Baby S did not even come close to being sleepy for 95% of the session! She was so alert, a happy kind of alert. She just wanted to watch every little thing that was going on in the room (even though I’m sure her vision at 10 days old probably didn’t get her very far): her older sister running around playing a bit here and there with her dad chasing after her sister. Big Sister A seemed to be adjusting to the new tiny life in the home, wearing her “Big Sister” shirt proudly. Hillary and Joe, the already seasoned parents, were chill and laid back, remarking at how their life had changed with the new addition. And grandmother in the background, proudly talking about how much joy these girls bring to her life. So much love and activity surrounding this small little bundle. Who would want to fall asleep amidst all of this?

Hillary and Joe, congratulations again on a beautiful baby girl! It was so nice meeting you all – extended family included – and wish you lots of snuggles and giggles with your sweet girls.
