A “spring” morning in Boston

For so many reasons, I’ve enjoyed working with this family over the past year. Little, handsome A is a natural cutie-pie and his parents are some of the sweetest and most kind-hearted people I’ve met. And given this week’s marathon tragedy that took place less than a mile from our shoot a mere 2 days later, working on these images brought me a sense of focus and lightened my heart a bit.

We definitely didn’t expect such a cold morning for mid-April, but this little man was a trooper!

You three (four including Cupcake!) are such fun. I feel so honored to have been able to witness your tiny little bundle grow into this bubbly personality.

Stephanie Goryl Photography Website is LIVE!

Holy moly. Or, as my daughter says, holy schmoly. I feel like I’ve been *this* close to finishing up this website for at least 6 weeks and yet here I am launching it now. From creating a new logo and getting a better feel for my brand, to learning about widgets and plug-ins, here is what has been eating up my nights for longer than I care to admit! Thanks to my hubby for putting up with keyboard clicks while watching our favorite shows. Baby, you’re the best.

To my clients who so willingly and promptly returned releases for me to use images of them and their children for my portfolio – thank you! I am ever so humbled by your loyalty. I love looking at these images and remembering each shoot, each smile (and funny antics behind the smiles), each I-can’t-believe-s/he’s-getting-so-big. I have been so fortunate to have such great families to work with.

Please take a few moments to look through the site and let me know what you think!

Creating more than just a disc that collects dust

Do you ever get so busy that those things on your to-do list that are important but not logistically life-changing (i.e pick up milk vs. update baby book) get put off for longer than you ever thought? I had a client tell me at her daughter’s Christmas shoot that she had meant to get prints of the images from our 6-month shoot but sadly hadn’t yet gotten around to it; her daughter was then 18-months old. Life gets busy, especially with kids. It made me a bit sad for this person who had gone through the steps to have professional photos taken of her daughter and yet had nothing to show for it on her walls. I’ve also had many clients ask where to get their images printed someplace “nice” vs. a consumer lab (i.e. Shutterfly, CVS, etc.).

So, I took the plunge this past winter and have partnered up with a couple of wonderful professional print labs for photographic prints and canvases! I am in LOVE with the products and am committed to providing my clients a more full-service experience. You can see the new structure and all of the options for prints, canvases, and disc of images on the Pricing page. I can’t wait for you to be as blown away by the difference in prints as I am!
